Orebo Træindustri A/S was founded in 1890 by Johs. Rebien, a master bricklayer with a great love for woodwork who made handles when the weather was bad. This proved to be a good idea: just after the turn of the century, a sawmill and a handle factory were founded.

In 1927, Christian Rebien, his son, took over the company, and in 1960, Mogens and Vagn Rebien, the third Rebien generation, took over the leadership of Orebo Træindustri A/S. The company activities were extended: a production of machinery was commenced which meant that the company came to possess an up-to-date production apparatus.

In 1980, Ole Rebien, a member of the fourth generation of the Rebien family and son of Vagn Rebien, took over the daily management.

In 1991, a new chapter in the company's history began: a furniture production facility was taken into use.

Today, Orebo Træindustri A/S presents itself as a modern company with an up-to-date, environmentally friendly production plant and a staff of skilled and dedicated employees who are constantly striving to live up to our customers' demands.
